We are currently collaborating with our artistic partners to edit two feature-length filmed stage productions, Oleksandra Basko’s A Non-Fictional War and Anna Akhmatova: Sketches from a Poet’s Life.
We look forward to bringing these highly anticipated original productions to a wider audience in 2023.

A Non-Fictional War is Oleksandra Basko’s gripping, present saga of her family’s personal journey through the strife and uncertainty of the Russo-Ukrainian War and Putin’s full-scale invasion of her country adapted in dramatic form by Artistic Director Natasha O. Ramer. Moscow Nights’ Artistic Director, Natasha O. Ramer discovered Oleksandra’s real-time biography online and sought to bring the universal experiences of her life in a war-torn country to the greater world by adapting her memoirs into a dramatic production.
Akhmatova was one of most significant Russian poets of the 20th century and is often referred to as the “Soul of the Silver Age.” She began writing poetry at age 11 and became a national figure while still in her teens. She witnessed two major revolutions and survived two world wars. She had a difficult and tragic personal life: her first husband was executed, another died in the Stalin’s Gulag and her son, who was arrested three times, spent fourteen years in concentration camps.
Moscow Nights is funded in part by the generous donations of culturally conscientious supporters like yourself to continue to develop and give life to productions that celebrate Russian and Eastern European Culture & Heritage in dramatic forms.
Please consider giving today to ensure Moscow Nights can continue to educate, entertain, and empower these stories that resonate with the human experience and that knows no boundaries.
